- You seem to be perpetually covered in eau de spit-up perfume.
- Getting five hours of consecutive sleep is a rare occurrence.
- Trimming nails has become an Olympic sport.
- Taking a shower is a luxury.
- A mere smile melts your heart.
- There is no such thing as leaving the house in under 15 minutes.
- At one point, you were obsessed with the frequency, consistency and color of bowel movements.
- The sexiest thing your partner can say is: “why don’t you take few hours for yourself; I’ve got this.”
- When you want to go out with your partner, you have to make sure to call your parents and your in-laws an equal amount of times.
- You’re blogging, singing, cooking, pulling faces and folding some laundry all at the same time as though it was the most normal thing in the world.
Can you relate to any of these? What would you add to the list?
Hahaha!!! I love it.!
SO TRUE!
I would add:
You have advanced knowledge of baby speak – interpreting every coo, cry or scream to determine what the issue is.
And for those that breastfeed and can’t do it in a mobile fashion: you make sure your are prepared – you don’t sit down unless you have the phone, remote, laptop and water ready to go.
I totally agree!
Love this list! Definitely can relate to all of these especially #2, #4 and #7.
One more to add to the list – cold food is the norm because before you get to the food, you are busy feeding your kid, trying to keep everything out of reach of your kid, cleaning up after him/her and trying to keep your kid entertained generally.
So true! Though in my case, cold food is usually the result of my son waking up from his catnap at the exact time that supper is finally finished!
Oh gosh, the shower one. Not only is having the time a luxury, but the feeling of having your body to yourself in a quiet room is incredible!
Haha, that’s when you are actually alone. I usually end up having to take my shower with my son in the washroom, so I generally am singing nursery rhymes while I shower. Luckily, I can stay in for a good 15 minutes before my son starts to get bored.
Along w/ number 10 – you feel a weird amount of accomplishment when you actually complete the simplest of tasks such as paying a bill or washing the dishes. Like, yeah, I rock!
Totally!
